Galerie Sechs is a multidisciplinary contemporary art gallery in the heart of Basel, created to foster genuine, human connections between people and visual art. Our space is intentionally warm and immersive, designed not as a distant white cube, but as an environment where art exists in dialogue with everyday life: approachable, atmospheric, and emotionally resonant.
Our curatorial vision centers on the dialogue between inner and outer worlds. Through a carefully developed annual program featuring around ten selected artists, we explore themes of identity, perception, and relationships. We are interested in how personal experience intersects with collective reality—how inner landscapes mirror social and ecological environments. Each exhibition is conceived as a cohesive narrative, balancing conceptual rigor with emotional depth and spatial sensitivity.
Artists find here more than an exhibition platform. They are placed at the core of our practice. We engage closely with their stories and processes, shaping exhibitions through thoughtful, artist-centered curation. From refining curatorial concepts to professional presentation and public visibility, we support the development of their work within Basel’s dynamic cultural landscape and beyond.
Collectors—whether at the beginning of their journey or expanding an established collection—encounter a supportive and transparent environment. We offer personal guidance, meaningful dialogue, and direct engagement with artists, enabling confident and informed acquisition of contemporary art that resonates both intellectually and emotionally.
