How often do we trust our first impression of an artwork, or of a person?

A painting can look completely different once we know its story. And people are not so different. What we first see as stubbornness might be perseverance. Confidence can be mistaken for arrogance. Behind our first impressions are our own experiences, expectations and unconscious filters.

On 1 October, Galerie Sechs and Diana Cherniavska from redesign4growth invite you to an intimate evening where we use art as a starting point to explore how we see, interpret and understand the people around us.

We begin with a private guided experience through The Mind Is Not a Machine, looking at selected artworks and discovering how context and the right questions can completely change what we see. Then we turn the same lens towards people — exploring our own strengths, how others perceive them, and what we may have stopped noticing…
