Taste of Memory

A special event as part of the Kunsttage Basel 2026 programme

As part of Kunsttage Basel 2026, Galerie Sechs invites visitors to Taste of Memory, an immersive evening where contemporary art, memory, taste, and conversation come together through a shared sensory experience.

Inspired by the artists featured in The Mind Is Not a Machine: Michel Juvet, Marc Brenzikofer, Artem Humilevskyi, Margaret Larmuth, and guest artist Sori Choi, the evening offers a curated selection of snacks and drinks connected to the artists' favourite flavours, childhood memories, and cultural backgrounds. Rather than recreating traditional meals, each pairing is presented as an emotional fragment: a small taste carrying stories, places, and moments that continue to shape memory and perception.
