Her Story II continues an ongoing curatorial thread at Galerie Sechs. Following last year’s exhibition Her Story, this new chapter deepens our exploration of the feminine as a space of transformation rather than definition.

Bringing together artists Arun Khau Ny, Julia Wimmerlin, Marco Benedetti, and Renate Fluri, the exhibition unfolds through diverse practices spanning painting, photography and mixed media work. Each artist approaches the body and identity from a distinct perspective—shaped by personal history, cultural context, and material experimentation—yet all engage with questions of memory, perception, and emotional complexity.

As a female-led gallery, we are committed to continuously engaging with and presenting artistic perspectives that reflect on embodiment, identity, and lived experience. Across these works, the body appears in fragments—grasped, veiled, or partially erased—suspended between exposure and withdrawal. Surfaces carry traces of time, while moments of clarity emerge only to fade again. Rather than presenting a fixed identity, the exhibition traces a movement between vulnerability and resistance, silence and expression.

The feminine emerges here not as image, but as a condition—unstable, layered, and quietly powerful.
