The Mind Is Not a Machine is a group exhibition that questions the pressure to think, feel, and function according to trained and standardized patterns. Bringing together Artem Humilevskyi, Marc Brenzikofer, and Michel Juvet, the exhibition examines everyday scenes through experimental artistic practices that resist efficiency, control, and habitual perception.

Each artist approaches this inquiry from a distinct perspective: Humilevskyi uses the body to confront social expectations and emotional conditioning; Brenzikofer transforms landscapes through intensified color and abstraction, disrupting familiar ways of seeing; and Juvet challenges the illusion of clarity through blurred, atmospheric images that shift photography toward perception and memory.

Through gestures of excess, slowness, and disruption, the works open a space where perception becomes unstable and fluid. The exhibition invites viewers to reconsider how routines shape consciousness—and to imagine alternative ways of sensing, thinking, and being beyond predefined structures.
